Right now, there are about a million students attending more than 200 religious colleges and universities across the country that explicitly discriminate while taking federal funding from department of education. "A class action lawsuit against the government can create a systemic resolution to the injustices that queer students are facing," she says. And with a class action lawsuit, is there a benefit to mounting that particular type of legal challenge? Sure.
