Having a Dad Is a Strange Experience
After having a child, it's just kind of all come back. It's obviously very different. I'm not having a father growing up and then wanting to be a father. Like, that's a weird thing to reconcile. And in some ways, it's like I've grieved the loss of that. The event of something beautiful happening in the world brings up that grief and almost expands that grief in a different way than it wasn't expanded before. But that's just because it touches on new domains that matter.
