What's the Difference Between Private Equity and HMOs?
I think it's not just going to be in the realm of private equity owned groups, but I think anytime you have a non-doctor owner. Like here in California, Kaiser is a huge employer of physicians and ophthalmologists. And they're an HMO, right? So you have, again, another non-medical entity kind of ruling over you, making decisions over you. These are things that we don't necessarily think about in our initial job contact. You know, what happens in the event of merger or acquisition?
