Trotsky's Resignation as Commissar of the Armed Forces and Navy

Trotsky resigned as commissar of the army and navy, that critical post he had held since march of 19 18. Trotsky could lay rightful claim to having almost single handed organized victory in the russian civil war. But now, after nearly seven years, he was unceremoniously dumped overboard. No one rejected his resignation or begged him to stay.
