When i sit down to pray for five minutes, ten minutes, there, there have been a handful of times when a spiritual director challenged me to do 30 minutes of just contemplative. And part of me gets so discouraged, like, what am i doing? No. I've never even seen monkeys. Or it turns out distraction means i'm a human being, that's all. It means my mind is distracted, but i get a hundred opportunities to come back to jesus, come back to his great welk. Ye and im that's so free. Framing distractions, normalizing boredom, befriending silence. Anelectricut. The word picture is working for me
