The Temple of Poseidon at Teneyron
Teneyron was sacred to the Helitz. Exaped slaves and fugitive Helots fled to the sanctuary, whereby religious custom were safe from pursuers. Overlooking Starnus Bay is a Hellenistic temple which may have been preceded by earlier structures. The most famous feature of the site is the cave oracle of the dead - an underground house of the gods into which souls were gathered.
