The Unpopularity of Landlords
Landlords generally are quite unpopular. Joe went to a Landlord's conference at the end of last year, asked them what tenants could do to help with their bills and it was very much like 'go on for your holidays' It's funny that when mortgage rates start to rise, no one starts telling them to eat Furer Avocados. They get political representation. They get conversations in Parliament about a mortgage bomb. What's the government going to do to protect the landlords when private landlords are? You have an asset and you're taking from the wage class to pay for your asset as part of the asset class. I'm not against people renting. It's part of capitalism, right
