Why People Want Dates in Software Development?
For a long time, I've worked though more of like Kanbani or Scrum sort of methodologies where you're doing like complexity based estimates or size based estimates. And then you can kind of based on maybe the makeup of your team, what the skills are, you might have like a certain velocity. So yeah, at least that's how that's been my experience so far. We also we do do sprints, but when I break it out into technical tasks, maybe I'll put some story point estimates and we'll figure out how many sprints that will take. That's how we get to the final date.
