Lacanian Desire

I noticed the invocation of kind of Lacanian like language about the fact that our desire is not really our own desire, right? That in a way where I kind of just reproducing kind of like in Lacan, it's like, you know, the other's desire. How is that different? Is it so is this just an account of Lacanian desire except when it comes to commodity and like images and media,. But the structure of desire itself is not necessarily changed. It's just that the way that the media is interacting in that dynamic and images is unique in a way.
