Twitter's systems are calling or texting MFA codes to the for-profit phone numbers. So imagine a scenario where you have a bad actor and a bad telco. Or even more, there's probably hundreds around the world who could on the fly make for-profit phones. They'll sign up for the service, create for-profit numbers in the thousands,. And then kind of connect that to its service. It's pretty bizarre. I've not about this for quite some time, but I've never seen it on such a scale like this.
