The End of Ettipus
In the midst of his great grief, he could be nothing less than honest. Ettipus begged Creon to take care of the girls and the other man wordlessly clasped his hand in a scent. He was overcome at his brother-in-law's forgiveness. The chorus voiced a final speech saying that grandeur gave way to misfortune.
