The Benefits of Broadsheets for Pest Control
Plague is very seasonal, it tends to start in about May and epidemics reach their height in about September. I'm just sort of wondering whether these broadsheets are offering more evidence when the plague is quite so plain to see. It gives all Londoners or Londoners who can read or who listen to other people telling them. It gives them a sense of what's going on in the bigger picture. But for a resident of London, they would have seen and had manifest to them in various ways that the plague was present.
