Pedigree or Purebred Dogs?
Some dogs have been bred for function and continue to be bred for function. Some of the pedigree breeding though is really about looks. So over the last couple hundred years, the type of breeding that we've done has been less about behavior and personality. There's as much variability within the breed as between breeds.
