Valve seems like the kind of company that we should hate, but it just feels hard to hate them. And I think they're privately owned. They still kind of do things in their own interest, which may be on in the best big corporation interest if they were a public company. It's also I've seen people get really engaged with Linux as a result of having a Steam deck. This is it's tapped into the massive PC modding community. A whole new generation experience links in a way that we would never have imagined. But so far, it's working well.
