The Importance of Genius

The mind of a genius travels into foreign lands of thought and explores distances outside of normal convention, which we did not imagine were possible. The burden of that notion is that you don't always come across as brilliant to those around you. You may excel in the particular field of your expertise, but you may lack complete common sense. And sometimes you aren't even considered a genius for years, decades, until society has had the time to confirm your brilliance. It's hard to fully understand the mine set here. Wouldn't anyone in their right mind take the necessary steps to secure a living from their inventions?
