The Importance of Grounding in Therapy
I would say grounding is not processing. Grounding helps you be able to process by giving you more resources to deal with what might come up when you're processing. Well, I'm wondering like our grounding experiences, like grounding techniques in therapy is that processing was cognitive? Or is it both or none of the above? This is why that Facebook post exists. Exactly. Huh? Huh? Okay. Good answer. Thank you so much because I vividly remember asking this in grad school. We were in like the first semester of grad school. Everyone was talking about like processing and person centered and humanistic and therapeutic relationship as though that meant something. And I remember my professor having the exact same reaction
