The Unexpected Strangerness of Things
The French have to come up with a new term for this to use Freud's to talk about what Freud is. And I think one of the ones that they do is like, some launque et alt et altschurette, which is like the disquieting strangerness of things. You expect one thing and then you get something else that's not what you expect it. It shows up in an unexpected way in situations that are outstandingly normal, like you're just at home.
