i think if we could move the discussion of ethics away from principles and values as the lead item to the challenge of making effective decisions, that would be helpful. We need to be engaged simultaneously in pushing forward our programme, or those goals, or those ends that we seek,. But we have to simultaneously be ameliorating the harms that are entailed in those goals. Otherwise we actually, in the end, get nowhere, we create as much problem in our wake sas any supposed solution might be creating. Yesi i absolutely agree, certainly as a virtue ethesis, that a significant function of ethics is to allow a good decision making under conditions of uncertainty, a novelty. That's
