Aquinas's Response to the Summa
Aquinas really doesn't spend that much time on this he addresses the question about the reason for the incarnation majorly in three places in passing a little bit in a few other places. But it seems to me if we're thinking about the scope of what theology can say that just the the oh so brief and formality of Thomas's response in the summa just seems as the guideposts. The Bible just says that you know Christ Jesus came to the world to save sinners that's what it says so we can understand the intelligibility of the present order to a certain extent but these hypotheticals are a little bit too much out there.
