Mrs. Woodhouse's spectacles came out of the rivet this morning, but she could not put them on. She asked Mrs. Ford to send it to Hartfield so that her mother would have a good look at what was going on in her life. Emma and Miss Smith were also sent home with two pairs of spectacles for their mother who had been ill all day.
