All of these buildings the Florence train station included were originally covered in fascist symbols they were encrusted in fascias and axes all over the facade. The spirit of Nazism has much more hung over them no one very few people think if they're not really thinking about it of that train station as a fascist monument. Although the group was identified with the rationalist movement as you say this one doesn't quite fit into the mainstream of what that was about.
