Research suggests stimulants are helpful at addressing that kind of reactive aggression. But they can actually increase proactive aggression, which is when people are premeditating their engagement and aggressive behaviors. This suggests that stimulants may not be an effective treatment for any of our adolescents with ADHD who are bullying perpetrators specifically.
