Blood Flow Restriction
Amel Ratne is a British exercise physiologist and author. His work has been published in the Journal of Applied Physiotherapy, among other places. He developed an intense training technique called blood flow restriction that he says can be used to increase hypertrophy by up to 50 per cent. It's not for everyone but if you're injured or need extra strength it may have some practical applications - such as breaking glass with rubber bands on your hands during emergency situations.
