The Tories Are Waiting for the Next General Election to Shut Down Climate Change
The electoral cycle very often doesn't align with when people most feel the effect. I think if we have more general elections right in the middle of July or August, people might vote more accordingly to this. This is another reason why I'm convinced the Tories are waiting until anytime between October 2024 and January 2025 for the next general election to shut down as much as possible as an issue. And there is a real risk, I think, that Labour is going to lose votes on the left to the Greens.
