The Thomistic Metaphysical Realist Doesn't Threaten Thomas' Realism
John Haldane has suggested that a Thomistic Realist need not believe that meaningful statements can have recognition, transcendent truth conditions. He bases his claim on two thesis that he regards as implicit in Thomistic Realism. The first thesis is that conceptual capacity and recognitional capacity go hand in hand according to Thomism. So the Thomistic metaphysical realist shouldn't worry about the acquisition and manifestation problems since they don't attack a claim that he makes.
