What Is a P R V?
A p r v, also known on some ventilators as by level. This is an interesting mode because it combines bothb both a by level pressure support ventilation with inverse ratio ventilation. So rather than show a conventional eon a conventional ventilator mode, you're only at a inspetory pressure, or high pressure, for a relatively small portion of the respiratory cycle. A p r v turns this around, where you are sustained at a high pressure, and then intermittently it decompresses, or drops the pressure down to a very, to a very low or even zero pressure. An exhalation occurs. Two removal occurs during those periodic decompressions, right?
