John: There's a very consistent stream throughout all scripture where it's like, he is moved by what's happening in the world. And then you've got the classical tradition when they look at impassibility, like, does god have impathy and compassion? John: So for god to communicate with us in a way that we can understand, it's going to be in some kind of condescending way.
