The Importance of Animations in UX

A lot of people gravitate towards the simpler effects like transparency blur maybe some window slides. But those animations need to be subtle like a giant cube that burls into flames or windows that appear as an airplane does not help convey movement. The burning windows are cool but you don't want to run your desktop like that all the time. If you like it you can do it but it should never be the default and i mean i i understand people who want that and you still can't do it.
