The Importance of Values in American Life

The Wall Street Journal and N O R C conducted a survey from March 1 through the 13th. In 1998, 70% of Americans said Patriotism was very important to them; now it's 38%. Religion 25 years ago, 62%. Pre pandemic 48% now 39%. Having children back then way back then 59%. pre pandemic 43% now just 30% community involvement 47% in 1998,. all the way up to 62% pre pandemic and COVID killed it. It's now 27% just four years later. And finally, when it comes to money being very important, that's actually got up 31% in 1998 up to 41% 2019 now at 43%.
