The Role of Hermeneutics in Biblical Criticism

Christian: Why is it only when we talk about the New Testament? Do we talk about criterion of embarrassment? Why don't other academic fields also use this methodology for coming to truth? Hermeneutics. My guess as to why hermeneutics is not regularly used in other academic field is because the methodology itself does not have reliable conclusion, that would be my guess. But again, that's what I would say. Go go look into that and see why other academic fields don't use this methodology.
