The Puritan Model of Banning Books

Matt Welch: This whole Puritan model kind of makes me think, I mean, I know this is maybe outside the scope of today's conversation. But if there were like grim wars, for example, or like books that were known, we have all this lore and pop culture stuff around hidden books. He says you could literally go to whomever was writing the book by hand or to one guy in a hundred mile area who owned a printing press and say, not this book. You keep to the version of the Bible that we greenlit.
