The Gifts of Revelations

In season one or two, there is a benign doomsday cult located in Pawnee, Indiana. They believe that a great drag it is going to burn the faces of all infidels and melted plastic before consuming the world. And they're all getting ready for it. But clearly it doesn't happen. Part of it is our construction of our world. Like we are constantly making different bargains in our head on constructing the reality around us.
