I use gloss to medium for my first thing, then leveling gel thin also. I wait until the thin coats dry and then I put another coat on because there's too many problems when you use it thick. Then I put wax on. However, there's a couple of caveats to this that I've learned by trial and error. When I'm selling online, I don't do that until I've sold itBecause the wax is a nightmare to get off. Absolute nightmare. Mineral spirits or white spirits, a sander cloths. And then you think you've got it all off, you paint over and the paint flicks off because you left a bit. It's terrible I find
