The original Vanderbilt, at least the original rich one, made his money in the railroad business. He not only wanted to build a railroad empire, he also wanted to built a family dynasty. The story of the Bush family and Budweiser beer isn't so different from the Yingling story. A German immigrant, Eberhard Anheuser, starts a brewery this time in St. Louis. His son-in-law, a Dolphus bush, joins the business; they named the brand Budweiser.
