The Importance of Saturation in Mixing

Saturation is an important part of any sort of mixer or mastering engineer's workflow. Saturation will kind of create audio to feel thicker, more velvety depending on how it is. Even harmonics are the second, fourth, sixth, and so on harmonics as it relates to the fundamental frequency. When you do odd harmonics, it can be a little bit more abrasive, but that might be the reason why you like it. You can also equalize with saturation.
