The Things I Love Most About My Job

I think science is best done as a team. I love the fact that I can in theory get up every morning and decide what I want to learn more about. Academia has been a wonderful place for me as a parent, as a spouse,. The flexibility I have, both in what I wanted to work on but also my self-directedness. And if you're a neurotic person like I am, that can be hard. It's very hard to get out of your head about things you owe people or things you should do.
