The American political system has all these, you can say, non-majoritarian or anti-majoritarian distortions that consistently favor the Republican Party. And then on top of that, you have all these attempts to actively subvert the democratic system and turn it into a system in which you simply don't need anywhere close to 50% of the vote to hold on to power. "This is not Trump, right? This hasn't, it didn't start with Trump," he says.
