Grain and wholesale food prices have been about 40% higher than normal this year around the world. That has a particularly severe impact on poorer countries where people spend much more of their money on food. Linda Bold is a professor of public health at the University of Edinburgh. Her significant number for 2022 is 13 billion vaccine doses that have been delivered globally against COVID-19.
