Treat Equals Equals Unequally

There are so many people in our culture who will embrace a secular worldview while still wanting to retain certain values that are extremely difficult to ground within that worldview. We agree, we ought to treat equals equally and unequals unequally. That has not been a self-evident truth to all human cultures at all times. I think you've got to get a more metaphysical transcendent ground for that.
