The book is written at a fourth grade level. We isolate the dying into hospice centers and hospice care is I think just an extraordinary movement. People don't have any first hand experience of that until their parents die. And so you do have children, many of us who grow up who are not in contact with the dead or the dying. It's really important to see it as emerging out of these shifting social conditions.
