Part two of our discussion of the human use of human beings by Norbert Wiener. If you didn't catch the first part I'd recommend pausing this episode going back one and starting from there. The chapter then kind of closes up, going on from the evolutionary stuff to the kind of problems of extinction. It's particularly about overfitting where a runaway process drives the species into the ground.
