Staff and staffless engineers should be actively seeking out to do or the type of work that they should be going after yeah I think this depends a little bit on the the archetype that your company actually wants from you. If there's certain things that are very important to you that the company doesn't value then you can still do that work but you shouldn't be surprised when the company doesn’t value it. Don't set yourself up where the company needs to value team building or investing in leadership or mentorship because you care about it 99 percent of the time the company knows what it values.
