Bishop, I'd Most Like to Have Dinner With Aquinas
Bishop: At certain times in its life, the church feels the need to hunger down. Aquinas would be the saint i'd most want to have dinner with,. provided that i, by some mystical infusion, was able to speak latin fluently and he could speak english. The great image to me is is a noah's ark. During the time of the flood, thereis a hunkering down on this ark, and an microcosm of god's order is preserved. But then the minute it's possible, hethe doors of the ark are opened, and out comes the life - so the ark is an image of the church.
