The First Case of CTE in Women
The first case of CTE in a female footballer has emerged. The condition is thought to be caused by repeated head traumas. There's no American football for women, so there aren't as many brain banks with the volume of brains that are expected within three or four years. This particular case was identified in Australia in a brain bank. I would imagine now, because they play both rugby league, rugby union, less rugby union, and then Aussie Rules football, which is what Heder Anderson was, they will start seeing many more of them.
