I Am Mother is a pretty scary dystopian. That sounds foreboding. The way that I've been thinking about it is, okay, how could it be that making AI better and better makes things worse and worse? And the answer seems to be that if you makeAI better and better, but it's pursuing an objective that isn't aligned with human benefit, then you've got a problem,. Because essentially, the machine, if it's more capable than humans, then it will get what it wants.
