In the early 1970s a young woman called Carmen Callil set up a feminist publishing house specialising in books by, for and about women. The expectation for somebody like her was just to have tea parties and get married,. And I knew perfectly well I just simply couldn't do any of that," she says. Do you think women need liberating in any way? It depends what you mean by liberation. They're just totally different. Sometimes they do the same jobs as men but they don't get the same money for it, do they? Well it doesn't really work as hard as men do they?
