The Problem With GameMechanic Patents
No one knows what's going on with game mechanic patents right now, including the people approving them. It might be reaching a point where devs might have to do patent searches before developing games. The courts most often favor the patent holder as opposed to someone pushing back against the patent. There are no big cases of publishers cracking down on people because they all go to the district court of Texas which is really patent friendly.
