The Different Types of Glaucoma

Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the world after cataracts. There are two forms of glaucoma, primary open angleglaucoma or POAG and angle closure Glaucoma ACG. Risk factors include older age, family history, type 2 diabetes, low blood pressure, hypothyroidism, obstructive sleep apnea, steroid use, and cardiovascular disease. Ocular risk factors include a thin central cornea and myopia.
