Why the Madule Crashed Into a Spectacular Fireball
The reason the madule didn't form a crater when it landed was because the main sting happened too far above the ground to have an impact on the ground below it. The moon would be a photographer's dream studio because the surface of the moon acts like a giant reflector that helps scatter light. If you over expose the images and basically blow out all the stuff on the moon itself, you can see the stars. According to one source, all themen involved in the flights to the moon were warned about the possibility of infertility, but it wasn't going to be like being exposed to radium in large quantities.
