The Empowerment Network: A Multi-Pronged Approach to Violence Prevention
In 2009, Omaha had 246 victims of gun violence. Last year, that number was cut in half to 120. The Empowerment Network also works on root columns. We know that violence is a symptom and so we need to go upstream and address employment,. education development, housing development, revitalization.
